What do you really want to do in life to make a living? If you are genuinely doing what you desire to make a living, it is easier to make that living, is it not? Sure, there are two question marks to the first two sentences, but, I will give my answer to them both in the following paragraphs.
When we genuinely are doing what we want to do in life to make a living, work is synonymous with play, and we genuinely never get tired of it because we are doing what we want to do. I am not denying here that work is work, but, I am saying that if we are doing something we enjoy for work, something we genuinely want to do that makes us wealthy in all ways in the process, that is a great thing. Sure, industriousness should be encouraged, but when you do not enjoy the process, however “wealthy” or surviving you are, there is not any point and feeding yourself and your family is not an excuse. Work is only beneficial when it offers enjoyment and fulfillment. It cannot just be pure survival or pure greed that motivates without a point. What do you think Charles Dickens was trying to show with Ebenezer Scrooge anyway? Work for the sake of work without enjoyment, reason or fulfillment is nothing.
A success pattern is only established when you genuinely enjoy the process as well as the end consistently. A failure pattern even if you do “succeed” is work for the sake of work without fulfillment of any sort, just work. Anything that has meaning only has the meaning you give it. Without that meaning you give it and take from it, it is fruitless work without fulfillment.
If the result is fulfilling, it means everything. If it is empty, it means nothing, even if you are “successful” in conventional terms and to “the standards of everyone else”. We are all winners to the extent that we get genuine fulfillment. Nothing else will do a consciousness good. The more you are fulfilled, the more of a success pattern you have. It all depends on nobody but yourself. If it depended on others, then “success in conventional terms” to the entertainment of everyone else would do without fulfillment for ourselves in any way and it does not work that way.
The way it does work is: Fulfillment comes from doing what you want to do with the result you want at any level with total benefit. Sorry, that reality does not work any other way.
